Biography

Born in 1948 in Klitten, Lower Silesia. 1969–1974: Studied at the Hochschule für Kunst und Gestaltung Halle – Burg Giebichenstein / Diploma. 1976: Awarded by the Berlin Office for Industrial Design (AIF). 1979–1983: External expert for AIF. 1983: Moved to Frankfurt am Main. 1985: Awarded at the international workshop of Süßmuth-AG, Immenhausen. 1986: The grid becomes an identifying element in image design. 1984–2010: External collaborator in the fields of art, design, and architecture for the KfW Bank Group in Frankfurt am Main, Berlin, Bonn, and Brussels. This involved significant cooperation with architects Fritz Keller/Zurich, Heinz Scheid, and Wolfgang Ritter/Frankfurt. 1987: Daniel-Henry-Kahnweiler Award for Painting and Graphic Arts from the Deutsche Kahnweiler Foundation. 1995–1999: Teaching assignment on “Color and Design” in the field of interior architecture at the Wiesbaden University of Applied Sciences. 2009–2012: Project collaboration with architects Oscar Niemeyer and José Carlos Sussekind in Rio de Janeiro. 2012: “Vertical City” – Contribution to the development of an architectural future vision – Kenneth King Architects, New York. 2015: Founding of the Art & Architecture Alliance and CAAAZ, the Collection Art & Architecture Alliance Zurich. 2020: Acquired Swiss citizenship. 2024: Honorary member of the Széchenyi Academy for Literature and Arts in Budapest.

Design and art projects, among others, for the official residence of the President of Germany in Berlin, the KfW Bank Group in Berlin, Frankfurt, and Brussels, the Savings Banks Association in Berlin, Bonn, and Schloss Neuhardenberg, the Berlin tool machinery company Niles, the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin, the Telekom Future Lab in Darmstadt, the elemental analysis systems in Langenselbold, Amcotec NH & Beta NV in Eupen, Belgium, and the Swiss Bank in Zurich. Since 2010, editions of “Fragments” – impressions, travel sketches, texts, poetry. Exhibitions in Europe, the USA, and Asia. Works in international public, institutional, and private collections.
